OUR HOME INSPECTIONS
A typical home inspection in San Diego will average between between 2-4 hours, depending on the size of the home, age and various other factors. The intent of the home inspection is to uncover potential defects of the home’s major systems, including but not limited to the roofing, structural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Red Rock Home Inspections delivers easy to read digital reports. Material defects and safety hazards will appear in the summary as red text, while issues related to routine maintenance and minor repairs will appear in blue text. Pictures are included in your report as well as any video taken during the home inspection. You will receive your report within 24 hours of the home inspection. We will follow up with you after your home inspection and will remain available to answer any questions you may have regarding your report.
Having a detailed home inspection report with photographs and video is quite empowering when it comes to deciding on how to proceed with your real estate transaction. The benefits to having a home inspection include:
- Peace of mind
- Discovery of material defects
- Discovery of hazardous conditions
- Leverage for negotiations
California currently lacks complete home inspection regulation. At Red Rock Home Inspections, all of our inspectors are third party certified through the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors.

“My husband and I used Red Rock Home Inspections to inspect our home recently and are happy we did. Keith said he would be here at 8am and showed up on the dot. I’ve had sdg&e and AT&T here pretty recent and both of there workers were constantly answering there cell phones, chatting and hate to say it but were sort of pestering me. Not Keith, he did what he came to do, he was very thorough and not on his phone once which we really like. We learned a lot about our home. He said he would send us a report within 24 hours and he did. It too was very thorough. We learned from his report that our bathrooms and kitchens did not have breakers! Apparently this means, if someone were to get electrocuted (God forbid), the power will not turn off. Scary! My husband immediately replaced the sockets. We also learned about our roof and how expensive it would be to replace. Keith’s report also included photos and comments. He is very detail oriented and professional. I highly recommend using Red Rock. Thank you Keith for the professionalism.

WHY GET A HOME INSPECTION
FOR YOUR PROTECTION
Home inspections are a time for gathering as much information as you can about the overall condition and state of a property to make an informed decision whether or not to purchase a property. A home inspection report not only will provide peace of mind, but also the potential for leverage when negotiating the final purchase price of the home. You will save a lot of potential headache and money by having the foresight of a home inspection. Peace of mind and providing information is our commitment to you.
Your home inspection will be a general overview of the home major mechanical and structural components. It will be a non-invasive examination of readily accessible components within the property. A home inspection does not include any engineering tests, geological surveys, water quality testing, well inspections, mold spore laboratory testing, septic and sewer inspections or any other type of specific inspection not explicitly covered and contained within the inspection agreement. If at any time you have a question regarding a specific item or a potential concern, please don’t hesitate to ask. If the inspector identifies an area of concern, he may recommend further specialized testing or evaluation by a qualified and licensed individual of the trade regarding the issue encountered.
